Week 1, Class 2 (Tech Week)

This is the first week of school, and it is technically allotted for "tech week" So we get to know each other. We also get to know our four packs! Isn't it great?

1. Mr. Rick starts the class off by showing the four pack teams on the screen, and we are asked to go to our four packs, We all got up, and reached to the groups, there are reasons for it to be called "four-pack"... Four-pack means that there are 4 people in one team! We are in the Cosmos team! We called ourselves the Winter team. You know why it's called Winter? Because... Winter is cold, fun and mysterious, we can change the plain old snow into a beautiful snowman, just like History! History is fun! There are also some mysteries behind them. We can turn the mistakes from History into a something new, like in the past, Marie Antoinette used to say: "Let them eat cake!" to the 1st and 2nd classes, leaving the 3rd classes without cake, even worst, they don't even have bread, so they got kind of jealous, and they started the French Revolution! See, it's just because of the phrase "Let them eat cake" and there are lots of killing in French... So, nowadays, people are more generous to others and treat people fairly! At home, we have nannies, but we treat them as family, we feed them with the same food like ours, in fact, sometimes, we give them more food than we give for ourselves. We put Jesus first, others second and ourselves last. That's how we have to treat people.

2. We also try to remember the rules we did from Grade 7, there are 5 rules, and we only memorized them on the first 2 weeks of school, and we can still remember them, there are also hand gestures included with them. So, these are the rules:

  • Follow directions quickly (Make wavy hands)

  • Raise your hand for permission to speak (Do a talking hand)

  • Raise your hand for permission to leave (Point backwards using your thumb)
  • Make smart choices (Point to your head)
  • Always make your facilitator happy (Point your cheek and smile)

(A heroic doll named Poohy volunteered to get the shot! Thanks!)

We can still remember these rules from last year, because our hands are involved and we don't just memorize it, we also understand them deep in our guts! This is amazing! Can you imagine, if we can remember everything so easily, we would save time for studying, and do other stuff, like reading the Bible, helping our parents and much more, we could also spend more time with God. This is epic!

3. We planned to write the class essentials next class, but we aren't sure yet. We just hope that we can do it, for the Bible says that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13.

4. We can try to make the class more active, and try not to be shy when the facilitator a.k.a Mr. Rick, ask us to do stuff.
