Week 17, Class 2- Continue review for the exam

We continued our review for the semester exam. This is all about the female suffrage. It is epic! We had to review a video (MP4 format, and 2 outher documents.

1. Today, we came to class a bit late. ehehehhee. But the rule of "pay-the-class-when-we-are-late" haven't been applied, so we didn't pay. Then, Mr. Rick told lectured us a little bit on what we have to do, and this is what it looks like:

2. Then, we tried to answer the questions for the exam. I hope we can do it correctly. But we have a strong weapon for the test who is God, He is mighty and could fight all of our problems and care for them more than we do.

3. On what we can do better next time is to pat more attention in class.

Thanks for reading this blogpost, I hope you like it. God Bless! Byeeeeeee

Week 17, Class 1- review for HOTS test

Today, we were so relieved that we are done with the test last class, and we thought today we will have no class, so we directly opened our laptops, some boys played games and some girls look at fashion websites or read books from wattpad! This is the best day ever!

1. After a few seconds of partayyyyy, Mr.Rick came in the class, and asked us to open a Google document. We were all so shocked, then we asked Mr.Rick on why we must do so, he told us that we will have another exam, and most of us were confused.... After a while, one member of this team realized that we have another exam which is going to be held somewhere next 2 weeks. We were all so shocked and panicked all at the same time! This is what it looks like when Mr.Rick is telling us about it:

One of us looking so shocked!

2. Then, after we heard him and made the google document, we listened to him again, he told us the questions in the exam, but he won't tell us the answer... well.... DUH! Then, we had to answer them or study for other subjects. Some of us studied for the re-sit that will be held this afternoon, but some us are really studying for the exam, so yeah! Woo Hooooo! I hope we will be able to do the exam.

3. I have faith on the Lord that we all will be able to do the exam. Woot Woottttt! For the scripture say: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13.

4. On what we can do better next time is to pay more attention and to be more honest. We have to try and study for our tests, it doesn't matter if we will get a bad grade, at least we tried our best, and we are with God. Have FAITH on the Lord. Study a little, Trust God, then, you'll surely get 100% in the test, trust me!

Week 16, Class 2- test

Before entering the History room, we were panicking so much that some of us turned pale. But some of us just seem to be relaxed and calm, so yeah!

1. We started to do our tests in Schoology, it is epic! I mean like seriously! It is! We tried our best to do the test. This is what the test looks like when we wanna do it, but it's still unavailable!

2. After we did the test that takes about 40 minutes, we checked our scores! The average score in our class is about the 50s, and it wasn't bad for a start, but only some got above 70s. Only 1 got above the 80s, but we don;t need to mention names right?! So yeah, we're keeping it a secret! ;)

3. On what we can do better next time is to take things more easily, also we need to study our books each and every single day we have History class, so yeah! :)

Thanks for reading this post guys, see you later! Byeeeeeee

Week 16, Class 1-Continue review

Today is the day when we are all cracked. We are broken into pieces. ouch JKJK. Okay, so we all we're so nervous, we thought that there was going to have a test today, and we are not prepared, we all read the textbook, then Mr. Rick was smirking, and we were like: "Whattttt?"

1. One of the member of the winter team checked Schoology, and surprisingly, there was an epic post!

Then, that member shouted it to the whole class.

Then, the whole class rejoiced like after having a huge famine and just found food. They were craving for not having the test. But still, we will be having the test on next class which is tomorrow. Urghhhhh, well... at least we still got it postponed for next class. Yayyyyyyy

2. Then, after we looked at the post and have a "1-second-party", we went to our google dirve and started to do the work, well.... not "starting" the work as in "we-haven't-do-anyhting", but we are continueing it.

3. When we tried to continue the document, we had a conflict, and it was so horrible. It's a good thing that they resolve it like on the next hour. Phew! That was so close. Then, all of us sent apologies back to each other, well... except one.

4. On what we can do better next time is to divide teh job equally among each other so that there won't be a conflict.

Thanks for reading this blogpost, God Bless you, Byeeeeeeee

Week 15, Class 2 - Exam Questions

Today is the most serious day of the week ever! Well... we only had Monday yesterday... but whatever. In this History class, we need to take lots of notes, read on!

1. Today, Mr. Rick was okay and told us all about his past few days in Malaysia or Singapore? I think it was in Malaysia... i dunno. Then, he said that he ate a food on the street that tastes so good, and by the next day, he fell ill. :( This is soooo sad.

2. The next thing that Mr. Rick do is that he showed a file on the board, and we need to read it. After that, he very kindly told us the exam questions, so that we just need to memorize those things in the file! Yayyyyyyyy! He is so kind, it is very rare to have a teacher to tell us the test questions and this is even better, it isn't just a test, but it's an exam. OMG! This is too epic to be true!

3. On what we can do better is to write more notes during class time so that we can get better grades and try to have the heart of bravery so that we won't miss anything! It's better to be curious and get better at things rather than being quiet and not knowing anything, so I'll try to listen and try to write more notes.

I hope you guys enjoy this blog post! See you next class... Aaaaaaa so scared for next class, there'll be a test, Bless me o'Lord! Byeeeeeee

Week 15, Class 1- Describe Questions

Okay... So maybe you guys think that I'm making up all these things? That I say that every single meeting is used for answering describe questions? Of course not! Read on!

1. So, today, Mr. Rick is absent because he had something to do with his stomach, he said that he ate some food from the road and then he got that stomach ache, and luckily, he got better by the help of God and a medicine, well... not luckily, but Blessedly I should say. Since there's no one in the class, Pastor Mak said the stuff that we need to do, because it has been 10 minutes that a substitute teacher haven't come.

After a few minutes or so, Ms. Hedi came in the class an just took over Pastor Mak's lecture! WOW! Just WOW! This is what it looks like when Ms. Hedi came in the class:

2. She said that we have to write a describe question and send it to the next group. This is epic and fun, so we did exactly that.

But after some time, she told us to make another describe question and switch it between groups, we all were like "Oh my goodnesssssssss, why should we make it again, but we just kept quiet and did what she said, SEE how respectful we are to her. ;)

(So sorry we can't take a picture of the 2nd one cuz' we ran out of time because after we wrote the first 2Qs and answer only 1 of them, we were so tired, and would like to see the internet for a while. I mean like we need a rest right, also we went to the internet because the other group isn't done making the question, they keep on changing them so yeah!)

After we are done with those things, we didn't keep it and bring it home, we submitted it to Ms. Hedi and I dunno what did she do with those things, so yeah!

3. We are so proud of ourselves, not showing off or anything, but we love it because we fulfilled one of our bad things which is to take more pictures during class time so Yayyyyyyy!

4. But we still need to improve on how we write the blog and make it less boring so that some people on the earth who reads this would not fall asleep.

Thanks for reading and I hope you guys enjoyed it! See you next class... Byeeeeeeee

Week 14, Class 2 Describe questions

Today is more busy than any other days during History class so far.

1. Mr. Rick posted some questions on the board, and there were abut 3? I dunno, then we had to solve each and every one of them, assuming that each is worth 6 points, and it means that we have 10 minutes to do it. We took a picture of the first one that we did, but the other 2 are thrown away (dunno why). Or maybe lost, well... at least we don't know where the thing is put, so we can't take a picture of it.

Those are 2 of Gaby's fingers! (Very important to know, crucial for life JKJK)

2. Then, we need to write a question and Mr. Rick will exchange those questions with other groups' questions, and it was the most epic thing, because we wrote a question that is kinda hard to understand. LOL! Then, we got other's question and it was about the food in the olden days, and we all were like "WHATTTT?" Then one of us got an idea and just wrote it on the paper, then the others continued the essay. One person in particular loves to write the conclusion and is really good at it. So, every time we had to do these kind of things, she would want to do the conclusion part. This was really cool.

After doing these things, Mr. Rick asked us to grade them, and then write another question for them to answer, but it needs to be related to the children in the mills. Then, we pass them to the group sitting beside us. So, we passed it to team Diakonos (funny name, LOVE it!), and we got the paper from team Bravo, and guess what they wrote... they wrote the same exact question that we write, and we all laughed out loud. This is such a coincidence... then Mr, Rick collected the papers, and he looked at them and laughed. Then we all were like "What's happening?" Then, he said that all of the questions are almost the same and we all laughed. LOL... LOL... LOL... This was the time when laughter flew across the History room! Aduhhhhh this is sooo funny, anyways, we needed to check them, and they got 5/7, well... at least it was better than before, the first time they did this, they got a 3/7, and then now they got a 5/7, improving eh?

Not to show off, but our group got 4/7 (blehhhhhh) and then got a 7/7! Yayyyyy! :) Not bad lahhhhh.

3. Then, we discussed about stuff, and the photographer would like to take a picture of them, and then they did this:

4. On what we can do better next time is to work harder and seriously take more pictures for the blog, or else the blog post would be as boring as this one, I mean seriously! I hate it when I have to keep on typing, and maybe none of u visits the blog, but I really appreciate that some of u are looking at the blog and be amazed? I dunno.

Hope you guys enjoyed this blog post, I'll see u in the next post! :) Byeeeeeee

Week 14 Class 1 Describe questions

Today was the day when we all did our best on things, I mean like seriously! We did our best! :)

1. Mr. Rick came to class as what he usually did, but this time, he came a bit late, but no one gave him a penalty, maybe it's still the 1st semester and no one dared to give him a penalty... I dunno! But to start the class, he showed us a short video that was also shown a year ago. This is a part of the video:

The video is about writing the describe questions and how to frame it properly. It was epic, but we need to make some critics on it since it was created by students. :)

2. We learnt that the describe questions have 3 parts, they are the intro sentence, argument and the source. It was epic. That's only for the first 2 paragraphs, and the concluding paragraphs are the same exact thing like that, but it doesn't need a source. So it is that simple, and we may learn the explain type of questions which is wayyyyyy harder than the describe questions, but I'm not sure so yeah! We just have to practice.

3. After we watch this video, we answered some describe questions written on the board, and it was epic. We figured out how to do it quickly and correctly, we decided to divide the job among ourselves and then do it in separate pieces of paper, in that way, we will be able to have enough time to check our things and it will be epic.

4. On what we can do better next time is to collect more pictures during class time even if we are too busy doing some "class stuff".

Week 13, Class 2 Describe Questions

Today was nearly the same like last class. We had to do something! Continue reading to see what happens next!

1. Mr. Rick starts the class with having all of the students to download 2 things, the video and the pdf of the female suffrage! It was epic, and everyone started to watch it and got amazed. Sooner or later, the whole class is super noisy. Then, after what seems like forever, Mr. Rick asked us to answer another describe question! This time, it's way harder! Not really that hard, but since it's a Grade 7 topic, we can't remember those things too vividly.

2. The question was "Describe the steps that led to the English Civil War". We answered it perfectly, but then, the paper was torn and got lost so, one of the team member of the Cosmos team remake the paper, and it got folded. Well... that's too bad, but this is what the paper look like:

So sorry if you can't see the words clearly...

3. Then, we need to continue the rest of the paper for homework. Noooooooooo! Well... at least we have something to do at home! :)

4. On what we can do better next time is to try and do everything as a group!

Hope you enjoyed this post! I'll see you soon. Byeeeeeeee! :)

Week 13, Class 1 Describe questions!

Today was an epic day for learning even if it's a MONDAY! Since we are thankful for every single day that God had given to us!

1. Today, Mr. Rick reminded us that exams are coming, and we have to practice hard for it, because if we don't, then we won't be able to ace it. He also said that there will be 2 types of exams, the LOTS (lower order thinking skills exam) which requires only memorization and HOTS (Higher order thinking skills exam) which requires lots of understanding, analysis and much more!

2. He also told us how to tell the time needed to solve a question! The formula is n(2)-2, n being the score given to a question. That was the mathematical equation, and it looks kinda confusing, so this is the english version of it, score multiplied with 2 then minus 2.

We should identify the command word before answering the question! The command words can be "list", "describe", "explain" etc.

If we must describe something, we must have an opening, argument and a source to support the argument).

3. Then, he told us to answer a particular question: "Describe the motives that parliaments might have need o overthrow the king" Then, we did it on a piece of paper, and this is what it looks like:

4. On what we can do better next time is to do the tasks faster and try to study more! :)

Hope you enjoyed this blog post! Blessings! :)

Week 12, Class 2 Poster Planning

Today was a very frustrating and fun day! Wait... how does that come together? Check this out!

1. Hoorayyyyyyyyy! Mr. Rick is here for class!

2. At first, he told us to plan our posters, and we already did that yesterday, so we plan to minimize the words to make the poster, so that it would be more fun and epic to read. Then, in the middle of our planning and discussion time, Mr. Rick told us that we need to make the poster in 3D, and then all of us were shocked! We thought that we need to make the poster like a landscape (we did one earlier), then he told us that the poster just needs to be popped out, just like the one others did. Then, we were all relieved.

3. On what we can do better next time is to take more documentation for the day so that the blog post would be more attractive and so that more people will view it.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post! Blessings! :)

Week 12, Class 1 Poster Planning

Today, Mr. Rick is absent because he has to do some kind of visa stuff, and he is supposed to be done for today, but he got sick afterwards! He got some kind of flu! Ouch! Hope you'll feel better and get well soon! God will Bless you always! He is here at school for homeroom session, but at the end, he went out of school and no one knows why.

1. Today, we planned our posters, and it was epic! We enjoyed doing all this! Yeah! :)

2. Since Mr. Rick doesn't come, Ms. Ruth substitutes him, and it was okay, but it would have been better with Mr. Rick since we could ask him some questions, and it would be much more noisy!

(Hi Ms. Ruth!)

This is the picture when we are concentrating on our work, well... not really concentrating, because of the camera...

3. On what we can do better next time is to try and plan more and be more specific on stuff, also when we are asked to do things, we should do them directly.

Week 11, Class 2 Essay writting

Today, Mr . Rick came early for class, and it is epic! He borrowed someone's guitar (dunno who's) and played an epic song called Dance like David. The song was about praising the Lord in all circumstances. Well, anyways... let's get started!

1. Today, Mr. Rick taught us how to do the double-spacing, formatting the essay, writing a thesis statement and stuff like that! It was a great example, and yet, some of the 8C students don't get it, well, at least some understood what Mr. Rick is talking about and could lecture it to our friends! That's what teamwork is all about!

This is what it looks like when Mr. Rick is lecturing the lesson:

2. Mr. Rick lectured us about the essay writing. On the first page, we need to have a 1 and 1/2 inch tab indent. Then write the title of your essay. After that, click the enter key 1x and then click the "tab" button to create an indent then, start writing your essay. After you are done writing the essay, highlight the whole paragraph and then right click it. Then, click the "paragraph" button. After that, click the line spacing part and click double. After that, you have to save it and then, make your writings to the right! Never justify it. Then if you reach the next page, write your last name and page number. Then, click enter, and continue your essay. After you are done with your essay, write the works cited. It is the sources where you get your information. And after you are done, you are free to go! Yayyyyy! All you need to do is to submit the essay to Mr. Rick via Schoology, and maybe also submit the reflection, or not, but just in case we need to submit the reflection, I just submit it.

3. We try to work on our essay, and speed up a little bit since it takes a lot of time to write a 1500 words essay. I mean like seriously! It is hard! Well, all we need to do is to surrender to the Lord and He will help us, but we must also do our best! And if we do so, we are glorifying God's name!

4. On what we can do better next time is try to get more pictures for the blog or else it would be kind of boring.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and I'll see you next class! Byeeeeeeeeeee

Week 11, Class 1 Essay Title formatting!

Hello Everyone! We're back to school, the reason why we didn't post anything last week is because we didn't have school! Isn't it amazing? Finally, a break and we can relax and do everything that we need to. Well, basically, most of us stayed at home, do some research for the essay and the poster and stuff like that, so basically, last week was only 1/2 of a holiday, but at least we got some time to have a break right? Well... the reason that we have a break last week is for term break! *Duh*.

1. Today, Mr. Rick taught us how to make format the title for the essay, and it must be exactly like that, because without the format, he won't check our essay anymore, I think he would give us a big fat "0"? I dunno... but at least that's what I heard!

This is what it looks like when he starts the lecture:

He typed everything on the computer screen and it would be projected to the white board.

2. Mr. Rick based everything he wrote on the screen to the MLA format thing! We can open the MLA format thing by clicking here. It is epic! But, most of the people in this class doesn't know how to do it, mainly because they don't pay a lot of attention, well... maybe they did, but they kinda forget? I dunno! Then, they ask Admin 1 of the class to re-explain the thing that Mr. rick told us, and it was a pain in the neck, because I explained it to 1 person, and the other will ask again, not asking from the person that I taught earlier... so yeah! I kinda have a "teaching" for today!

3. That was about it for today's class! At first, we did the title and all of that, then Mr. Rick asks us to write the insides of the essay in class so that we won't have to rush our project at the end of the day! I mean like, it would help us a lot, but some of the members of the Cosmos Winter team didn't understand what to do, so they ask the Admin to help them, and at the end, the Admin didn't have enough time to do her work, and decided to do it at home, but it is a good thing to help others, because it kind of help ourselves too!

4. On what we can do better next time is to try and pay more attention to the teacher or lecturer when they are lecturing, because i saves lots of time! :)

I hope you guys enjoyed this blogpost, see you on next class! Byeeeeeeee

Week 10, Class 2 The Inquiry Wheel (Sorting out)

Okay... so today, we continued the "sorting out" part of the inquiry wheel. It was great fun. But, since we are in the last number and still had a lot of time of this class, we decided to have the other interviews.

1. So, we planned to interview Mr. Jason, Mr. Raj and Mr. Ben, so we decided to go out of the class and go find them. It was so hard to find them since they are still lecturing other classes, and i was a pain in the neck, so we decided to go down to the front office to ask the teachers down there where they were, and they had no idea, but then, we saw some people getting into Mr. Adam's office, and we did exactly that.

2. No one in our team wanted to interview Mr. Adam since you know... we are nervous! But, anyways, we voted to have Helen interview Mr. Adam, and it was great, most of the questions we ask had the same answer, so, yeah! We wrote them down, and it was epic! Yayyyyy Then, we wanted to interview another teacher, but the time is up! So, we had to move on to the next subject which is Mandarin!

This is Gaby hiding her face from the camera...

3. On what we can improve next time is to be faster at doing stuff, so we have to make haste!

I hope you liked this blog post, and may God bless ya'll!

Week 10 Class 1 The Inquiry Wheel (Sorting Out)

Okay, so today we did our Sorting Out questions. It was fun, since we finished last week. But we didn't really do anything because we were done with pretty much everything, except we need to ask 3 more questions, thankfully I did mine. So basically I didn't really do anything, besides mastering some of the things that were needed to be mastered.

I have asked Mr David for my Questionnaires, and the only teachers left we need to interview is Mr. Raj, Mr. Jason and Mr. Ben. We are gonna ask them by this week.

Jennifer
Kim and Helen (from left to right)

After Kim, Jen, and Helen found out that I was taking a picture, they immediately hide under their laptops, it was hilarious! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I hope we can do the interview much faster next time, or as we can say accomplish something earlier/faster next time. I'm actually really satisfied that we can do it fast. Hope you guys enjoy the post for today! I'll see you all again next updatee!
BYEE :D
Have a very wonderful day :)))

Week 9, Class 2 The inquiry wheel (Finding Out)

Today we continued the "Finding Out" part of the inquiry wheel! It was okay... *Continue reading...*

1. Okay... so today we continued the "Finding Out" questions! It was epic, since we are done! But, the bad thing is that we don't have anything else to do, so we updated the blog, and it was quite fun! We did it together, but while we discuss, so it looks like only one person is typing the blog most of the time, but actually, we did it together, and did you know that we can save this post and then we just need to umm... edit it later on, and that's the reason why you guys can't really read it on time, but we always update it on the day! See the date above this post if you don't believe me!

2. We read our research and it turns out that it is so little, so we need to do more research with the books in the library or the internet! I mean like... seriously! We need more research. Well... we did that later on since we loveeeee to procrastinate our work! (which is a bad thing though...)

Mr. Rick told us who haven't submitted the assignments and asked them to submit those things! Seriously! He's sooooooooo kind! :) This is the picture when he is checking the scores!

See! Look at that! He even had hand gestures for telling us the scores! WOW!

3. We did a little bit more of research, but we can't show it to you guys, because it is a total hard work! Not being selfish... but you guys need to do your own research, and not getting it from our parts! It's not fair, but if you want par of our research, then you could ask us, but not just copy-pasting from our research without permission. Last year, a male student from 7A took the picture from another blog, and put it as his own, and the owned of the blog (that got A picture stolen) got his friends to help talk to him. Then he deleted the picture and threw it away. He was so mad, but then... he cheered up later on when he met his other friends... The point is that you need to make decisions wisely! Well, at least don't copy-paste someone's work! Because it's called as plagiarism! And it's a bad thing!

4. On what we can do better next time is to try to work things out a bit more quickly! It is better if you do that you know! The faster, the better!

Hope you liked this post, I'm so sorry for having too many words on it, and less pictures! We'll try to get more pictures later on! See you next class! Byeeeee

Week 9, Class 1 The inquiry Wheel (Finding out)

Today is a very fun day, well... you'll see it later on!

1. Mr. Rick asked us to finish section 2 of the inquiry wheel... and everyone was like, "Wait! What? Section 2? I thought we did it last class and this class is supposed to be for section 3!" And then Mr. Rick said that this week is for research week, and we have to be done with only the "Finding Out" questions and have an interview with someone, research for the answers and basically... do all of that! Well... anyways, this is what it looks like when he tells the class to do it!

Well, at least we got his back! (Hi Pastor Mak!)

2. The questions for this section "Finding out" are:
  1. What kind of resources might help?
  2. Where do I find them?
  3. How do i know that this information is valid?
  4. Who is responsible for his information?
  5. What search words or approaches are most useful?
  6. What am i feeling about this phase in my inquiry?
  7. How can I deal with these feelings in a way that will enhance my success?
This is what it looks like when we are almost done with the document:

3. We need to divide our jobs for the research equally, so one person has to do the research with the library books, the other has to do the research with the internet and the other has to do the research in the form of an interview, well... at least we've got questions the person, that is related to our topic! And they are a pretty good secondary resource you know!

4. On what we can do better next time is not to procrastinate our work. If we do, then we will get more pressure when we do the stuff. It would be harder to do it. So, we better do it for the real deal!

Thanks for reading this post, I hope you liked it, and I'll see you guys soon! Byeeeeee :)

Week 8, Class 2 The inquiry wheel (Questionnaire)

Today, Mr. Rick asks us to continue the stuff from the inquiry wheel that isn't done yet, and since we we're done since last class, we just need to make the questionnaires!

1. We started to make the questionnaires that helps us to answer the question! But, we don't ask the topic question in the questionnaire, we asked the questions that are related to it.

This is what the questionnaire look like when we are working on it.

2. One member of the cosmos team displaced her toe bone when she hit her wardrobe, and she had to do everything, well, not really everything, but most of the things down stairs in the front office, and she can't attend classes as well, but she still contribute in this thing, you know why?
We don't do it in the front office and don't even meet, so we chatted with her in google hangouts during History time and informed her to open the file that Gaby sent us, so she opened it, and we did it together! See how technology helped us, we can do a project from different places, and it still have the same result, and since we can't talk to her like the rest of us could, we opened a tab and chatted with her there. (Blue box, in the picture!)

3. We learnt that there is always a way to work together as a team even though we are in different places of the world. We can still get our job done!

4. On what we can do better next time is try to concentrate on our work, and not get distracted with the other stuff in the internet, like the lyrics to our favorite song and emails from our friends!

Hope you enjoyed this blog update! See you on next class! Byeeeee! :)

Week 8, Class 1 Inquiry Wheel (Finding out)

Today, Mr. Rick asks us to continue the inquiry wheel. Well, not continue from yesterday's one, but continue the next step of the wheel.
1. For those of you who have no idea on what an inquiry wheel looks like, it looks like this:

Hope that you could see it! :)

Mr. rick asks us to do the "Finding out" questions! The last step was not as hard as this one, in this one, we have to do lots of research unlike the other one, because the other one was just to make you tag along, it is just like a beginner.

2. Mr. Rick told us not only to look at wikipedia, since many of us used it, but we have to use other websites like Yahoo Answers, blogs, wiki answers and other sites that couldn't be mentioned here, like university sites (their research). Other than surfing the internet, we also could do an interview with the people who lived there or have a relationship with it. Like Mr. David, Mr. Raj, Mr. Ben and much more, we could also read a book that is relevant to it.

4. On what we can improve later on, we could try to work on things faster and collaborate with the team better! :)

Hope you guys enjoyed this blogpost! Blessings! :)

Week 7, Class 2: The inquiry wheel (Tuning in)

Today, Mr. Rick was shocked that all of us was done resenting in 1 whole period. He was so shocked, and called us Amazing! :)

1. Today, Mr. Rick asks us to look at the piece of paper under the stuffed animal that have been there for what seemed like forever. He told us to read it one by one, well... at least the "tuning in" part.

This is what it looks like:

No one in the team could read it except for "SUPER KIMMY"!

Well, she tried to read it, and for a while, one member of the cosmos team had an idea to look at the image in our laptops, or search it with Google, and we did exactly that!

2. The questions there helps us to grasp the idea of our topic, and the topic was: How was it that Britain control 1/4 of the world? The questions are:
  1. What do I know about this topic?
  2. What do I know about my question?
  3. What do I need to know about my question?
  4. What could an answer be?
  5. What are the phases of the inquiry process?
  6. What are some possible ideas about my topic that I'm interested in?
  7. How do i know it?
  8. What am I feeling?
  9. How are my feelings likely to change during the inquiry process?
And we did it together in Google Drive! The scribe made the document, and we did it there together!

3. Well, on what we can improve later on, we could be more helpful in the team, also we have to consider others idea! I hope we did it correctly! ;) Byeeeeee

Week 7, Class 1 Team activity submission

Today was the day when we submit our team activity.

1. Mr. Rick asks us to fill in a sheet of paper, there are grades in them, but we aren't supposed to fill them in, so, we just write the group name and return in back to Mr. Rick. The first one to hand it to him will be the last one to present, so we tried to hand it to him as fast as we could, and we did it. Yayyyyyy!

2. The first one to present was... I dunno! But they presented the Manchester thing... And the next was Abba team, they presented about the Crystal Palace, theirs was unique, they didn't make a landscape, they just made a poster! But it was epic! The next was a team that made a bridge, the team after that was Diakonos team, they made a bridgewater canal. And finally, it's our turn, we presented the class about the iron bridge and we don't know if we did quite well, but here id the picture of the iron bridge:

I am so sorry that we don't have the pictures for the other teams, because it was so packed there.

3. On what we can do better next time is to work on the project more harmoniously and add more "togetherness" in it. I hope we'd get a good score! :)

Thanks For reading! Blessings! :)

Week 6, Class 2 Time to work!

Today is the best history class ever. You'll see why!

1. Okay, so we had lectures from Pastor Rick about the team presentation, and try not to read your slides, you have to present them, not read them! And he did a full-20 minute presentation about it, and after he is done lecturing us, he told us to lecture the class just like that, I mean... that would be hard.

This is what it looks like when he is lecturing:

This is what it looks like while he was lecturing:

2. Mr. Rick lectured us about the powerpoint presentation, and he told us to present it deeply, and not look at the screen. Your head must be facing forward. Nothing, well, only a few things could be said from the board, but the rest must be from your gut. *hmm* He said that if we read the screen for the project, we would automatically get a "big fat 0". And, luckily, we did a landscape instead of a powerpoint presentation or even a poster. It was a great thing.

3. Time for LDL teaching! It took the teacher 10 minutes to lecture the topic. Today's topic was the exact same one like yesterday's.

This is the picture of Gaby teaching the team:

Gooooo Gabssss

After all the teaching, Mr. Rick told us to continue our project, and it was an epic time. We put trees everywhere and did other stuff. Also, when we entered the class, Pastor Mak shouts really loud, and all of us were shocked, well... i think that's the purpose, he said that he loved our project, and Mr. Rick was like:"Rockin' Rockin' Rockin' Rockin' Rockin' Rockin' !" We were like:"Thanks!"

We didn't boast or anything, but yeah!

4. On what we can do better next time is to spend more time to do the project rather than chatting with friends!

I hope you enjoyed our update for today, and yeah! If this is the first time for you to read this blog, please read the other posts! I think you'll enjoy them! They'll be epic. Trust me! Well, at least I hope you'll be able to enjoy it. Blessings! :) Byeeeeeee

Week 6, Class 1 Victorian Values: Social issues

Today was a Surprising day! You'll see why later on...

1. Today, Mr. Rick was lecturing us the topic for today, and it was about the victorian values. This is what it looks like when he is teaching the team:

He never looks at his powerpoint slides you know! It's so epic!

2. He lectured us about the Victorian values! At that time, Britain had no machines, people had to use man to power them, and it is such a hard work, it could also be called as torture... They need to do this for getting crops, smelting Iron ores. Britain needs a cheap labour to do this, because hiring skilled people cost a lot! If they don't have it, British's economy will fall and crash which is a very bad thing, so they get slaves, who work for free.

The slaves are the "black" people (not meaning to be racist, but it was what they call them in those days), Britain has a strong economy, because they had slaves working for the British people. They trade the slaves with the United States to get raw materials, and they get the slaves from Africa, and there, people had a race, so the winner will be the one who pushes the loser to the boat to be sent to Britain.

Women were second class citizens *how rude?!* They don't have the right to vote, work, have high education and stuff like that! It was so bad. I mean like... seriously! It is! Only men are allowed to do those stuff. >:(      *I think that's how to make an angry face...*

Their job was to get married, have babies and do housework, and that's it. They are paid less, and they can only work in mines, they are also paid less, or even not being paid at all. *sniff*

With the help of Mr. Technology and Mrs. Machine, people are not employed to crank machines, work in mines and stuff like that. They don't need slaves any more, and slavery was abolished! *yayyyyyyyyyy* Now, women are equal, and there is nothing to worry about. *yipee*

3. The next part of class is To teach the team! Yayyyyy! Well, anyways, Mr. Rick shuoted:"Class..." And we would answer him, and then he shouts:"Teach" We all shouted okay! I think we should get a picture of this next time! Well... yeah!

This is the 3rd teacher teaching the team:

Yeah! Gooooo Kimmy! woo hoo!

4. On what we can do better next time is not to disturb the teacher lecturing the team, or even Mr. Rick!

Hope you enjoyed this update, and if this is the first time for you to read our blog, try reading other updates, they are epic too! See ya and May God Bless you!

Week 5, Class 2 Victorian values: Racism and Ethos

Today was a really funny but awful day! You'll see... read on!

1. As any other day, Mr. Rick teaches (Lectures) the class about the textbook. He lectured us yesterday's topic, and we were all confused, but no one reminded him until it was till the end if the lecture where there is a discussion on the Beach in Brighton, and everyone was very sure that it was discussed during last class, so we all said that it was last class' topic, and Mr. Rick was so embarrassed and he literally banged his head to the table *ouch* Then, we all felt bad for him, because he need to lecture today's topic in a lesser amount of time...

This is the picture when Mr. Rick is lecturing the class:

2. He lectured us about the the industries back then. He told us that we have malls nowadays because back in those days, the English men are the first to make the biggest mall ever, it is made out of glass! It also looks so cool, it kinda look like Elsa's castle ya know... It is called the Crystal palace, and many stuff from the world goes to that place to be sold to the people. The customers there are usually the kings, queens, and first classes, there are rare chances of having a second-class in that mall, but sadly, it burned down in world war one. I think it is because of the German bomb? I dunno, but I think that's the cause...

This is what the crystal palace looks like back then...

3. After Mr. Rick lectured all of these stuff to the class, it is time to teach the team, today is Kimmy a.k.a. Kimberly needs to teach the team, but she is absent today, so Helen, who is the next teacher in the team, and she is gonna teach us! Yayyyyyyyy!

This is Helen teaching the team:

After 10 minutes, someone shout: "TIME!" And everyone stops teaching and they listen to Mr. Rick. Mr. Rick said that we will be having a project for this semester, and it is to be dued on Next week, on class 2, On class 1, we will be working on it, well, at least continuing it. And, the next day is the time to submit it, and we also have to take a picture with our project and send it to Mr. Rick via Schoology. The project is to make a poster, 3D landscape (need to give a brief explanation too) or a powerpoint presentation. Everyone directly look at each other and directly agreed on making a poster, because it is the easiest thing to make. But then, Mr. Rick said that the poster will be getting 10% off from the grade and the highest mark will be from the 3D landscape, and then, everyone changed their minds, and agreed on making the 3D landscape. *LOL*!

4. On what we can do bette next time is to develop a better skill in group activities.

Hope you enjoyed today's post and May God Bless You! :)

Week 5 Class 1 Was life getting better?

Today LDL 2 begins! Yayyyyy! Mr. Rick starts the class with a lecture, well, in every class, he starts the class with a lecture... So... never mind!
1. Today, Mr. Rick tells us who is going to be teaching for LDL, and the teacher for this team is Jennifer, but I don't know who will be teaching for the other teams, well, I knew who taught the other teams, but I forgot! *tee hee*.

This is Mr, Rick telling us who is gonna teach the team:

He even got hand gestures for telling us who is gonna teach the team? Seriously? He is a pro at teaching people, he might get 100% for LDL, if only he had those things...

2. Mr. Rick didn't lecture yesterday's topic or even any other topics that we miss, anyways, He lectured us the topic for today!
It is about the lives of the people in the industrial revolution, people are rich because back in those days, people's business were farming, carpenters, blacksmiths.
But now a days people work 10 times in order to survive from hunger, homeless or for living.
There were also some changes in the 18th Century.
People dont use cages in farms so that people can come in there and pick FREE veggies, look at animals. Some people had cattles, cows, sheeps. if the animals were gone they didn't feel worried because he or she will know that neighbours will took care of it.

but now days, people began to be private and aware of danger in their farms.

Many victorians wear Dresses for Girls, those dresses were really FANCY, expensive and for me it looks really heavy, i meant heavy because it has many layers of it.
For boys, they use Black suits, a bow tie or no ties at all, a white clothes, a stick to walk or have fun and last but not least a hat.

3. After he was done lecturing the class, he shouted: "Class..." And we have to respond:"Yes?" And then, he shouted: "Teach!" And then we shout:"Okay!" Then, one member in each team will stand ip, and teach the team. The time keeper starts the time! We have 10 minutes to teach the team, so it is okay.

This is what it looks like when Jennifer is teaching the team:

While she was teaching the team, Mr. Rick roams around the class, and grades the teachers!

This is what it looks like when Mr. Rick is grading the teachers:

Well... he was grading the teachers, but when he saw the camera flashing, he quickly did a pose, so yeah, it ended up like that...

4. On what we can do better next time is to do stuff more harmoniously!

Hope you liked this post! Thanks for reading and May God Bless you!

Week 4, Class 2 Changing needs for transport

Today, Mr. Rick come to school! Yayyyyy! :) Well, anyways, he came back to school, and it was a great thing that he come back, because we would have those textbook teachings! XD

1. We all taught that Mr. Rick is going to lecture us something from the textbook, but he didn't, instead, he introduced us to the new stuff called mentoring. We all taught that Mr. Rick is kidding that we need to teach someone, but he totally isn't kidding, he is super serious! Then he told us that we need to mentor one of the grade 7 students, and they are called the proteges. We will be mentoring them for the whole year, and we aren't only gonna mentor them History, but we will also teach them other subjects. And all of this teaching is for our extra-dextra grade.

This is what it looks like when he told us that we are gonna be mentors for the grade 7 students:

He was looking to the whole class, but you know, he loves his swirling chair, so he did that!

Then, he checked how many people haven't done LDL 1, and there are about 1/3 of the students that join History course doesn't submit the LDL schoology form, and they will be getting a "0" in their grades. :(

2. Today, Mr. Rick told us on how to properly mentor the grade 7 students, and it is also for us to know how to do stuff properly, like how to make a good powerpoint and stuff like that.

This is a screenshot of what the document looks like:

Mr. Rick told us stuff like: we have to do LDL score cards after LDL. LDL is a teaching kind of stuff, we have to teach according to bloom's pyramid, last year, we have bloom's pyramid level 1, and now, we have bloom's pyramid level 2.

This is what a bloom's pyramid level 1 looks like:

Then, it gets harder, and this is what a bloom's pyramid level 2 looks like:

3. After all of this lecture, we had 2 teachers to teach the team, even though the 1st teacher teaching here already taught the team last class, but she needs to teach the team again, and it was quite awful for here to do it again, because her teaching during last class is better than the one she did today, I think it is because she is more prepared yesterday, because Mr, Rick just told the teachers form last class to teach today, and he didn't told us yesterday...

So, he did his routine by shouting: "CLASSSSSS... Teach!" Then we have to shout: "OKAY!" Then we started to teach, but this time, the time limit is only 5 minutes, so we have to be quick!

This is the picture of Helen teaching the team:

After 5 minutes, someone shouts:"Time!" And then, all of the teachers stop teaching, and the next teacher teaches the team... see how efficient and quick we are...

This is the picture of Gaby teaching the team:

While they are teaching the team, we took down notes, and after they are done with their teachings, we shoot them with our BHQs, and they have to be able to answer them. While they are teaching the team, Mr. Rick roam around the class to grade the teachers.

This is what it looks like:

4. On what we can do better next time is to take down more notes when the teacher is lecturing us.

Hope you like this post! Blessings! :)
