Week 3, Class 2 - Project making in progress

Hello Everyone! So today is another project-making day. We made a few part of the trench, which is the part for the barbed wire. It is extremely dangerous, and is very deadly. Our skins got pricked like every single time we tried to twist it, even if we were already using the pliers.

1. The barbed wire is the best thing and it looks so deadly, that it may kill people. (not our version though... but I wish it could kill people, because that would be awesome!)

2. On what we can do better next time is to try and divide that task equally among the team members.

Thanks for listening and May God Bless you! Byeeeeeee

Week 3, Class 1 - Project making in progress

Hello everyone! Today, Mr. Rick announced us that there is a project that is going to be due next 2 weeks. And it is a battlefield landscape. (period) We need to really work on it during class time, and during our leisure times. This is a serious business... At least that's what I think of it as.

1. What we did today was to do research on the battlefield landscape. So, all we did was surfing the internet and write it into word documents. Then, we emailed each other the copy of our documents.

2. On what we can do better next time is to research from more sources.

Week 2, Class 2 - Causes of World War 1 (Attitudes towards War)

Heyyyy Everyone! Today Mr. Rick didn't do a lecture, because of the fact that he didn't come to class. Hope he's not sick or anything. God Bless him...

1. Since Mr. Rick didn't come to school, we got a substitute teacher, and this substitute teacher is so darn tough. He just get into the class, read the instructions and then he said go, and let us do it on our own. No greetings. No nothing.

This picture wasn't taken during class... because he said that we aren't allowed to take pictures, so I took one when we interviewed him for History class.

2. Even though there is no lecture for today, and Mr. Rick didn't come, we still had to do our LDL teaching assignments. What a bummer right?? Anyways... we need to teach the team. Well... not the whole team teaching the team, but only one teacher... Kimberly! Wooot.

3. On what we can do better next time is to try not to joke around while the teacher is lecturing.

Week 2, Class 1 - Causes of World war 1 (domino effect)

Hi guys! Welcome back to History class! Not exactly though... but oh well! Today, we're gonna have a normal day, and only one of the teachers will present! Yayyyyy

1. Mr. Rick is catching us up from the last class, since there were lots of holidays during our lessons in the last semester, so there were lesser posts. Hee hee.

2. History is basically a cause and effect kinda thing. So, for example, the cause of Marie Antoinette saying: "Let them eat cake" effects the hearts of the third class people (the poor people) and made them start the French Revolution. This was a huge mistake that Marie made. We, as historians (not exactly historians tho... but I guess... "student" is the right title for us) know this fact, we could try to be more careful around people and try to be more compassionate to others and try to work on things much more carefully.

Before in the 1870s, there was no Germany, only a group of states that speak the same language. These are called the Prussian states. France and England was in a war for a very long time, from Henry the 8th until the 1870s. Since these states were having war, Germany won the war and took both of the states.

Countries such as Britain, France, Spain, Portugal and Netherlands were colonizing the world, the newly made country made Germany want to do so too. The British Empire is huge and it needs a more cheaper and efficient way to ship things, so they built the HMS Dreadnoughts. It is very cheap, so Germany decided to copy them. France looks at this in a way that it looks like danger...

World war 1 was started by the domino effect. It's a thing where countries corner each other and wants a lose-lose relationship. Before WW1 started, there were the alliances, the triple alliance and the triple entente. The triple alliance consists of Italy, Austria-Hungary and Germany, they were formed from the Prussian war in the 1870s. The triple Entente consists of Russia, France and Britain.

3. LDL time! Woottttt! Let's see who's gonna teach for today... Jennifer is teaching. She is going to teach us about the Cause and Effect of World War 1 which is the domino effect.

4. On what we can do better next time is to take more pictures during class time and try not to be very playful with friends during class time.

Week 1, Class 2 - The Stage is set for war

Hi guys! So, today, we have 2 teachers teaching for today,  just because we have no teachers teaching yesterday. Haw haw haw!!!! JKJK! Okay... so we had 2 teachers because they are amazing! Well... they are! But, that's not the main reason why there are 2 teachers teaching for today, they taught the team on the same day because we are off-tracked since we had such a leisure time on the last class.

1. In the beginning of class, Mr. Rick told us who is going to teach. Some of us are extremely shocked because well... we didn't know that there are 2 teachers. but our team... no questions needed! (not to brag, but yeah) Well... there's only 1 student who didn't prepare for LDL which is from team Diakonos I guess...

2. Yayyyyy! the 1st teacher is going to teach the team right now! Woo Hoooooooo! Let's welcome Helen! Woot woot. Anyways, she taught the team about "The stage is set for war" part one that is... After 5 minutes of Helen's lecture, we shoot out BHQs to her. It was epic!

Then, the "epicness" adds up, Gaby teaches the team. Woot woot! She's the best! YEAH! Okay... so she taught us about "The stage is set for war" part 2! Then, after 5 minutes of her lecture, we simultaneously shoot BHQs to her! It was much more than epic!

3. The lectures were epic, we took down some notes and well... got some pride in ourselves. But we still need to improve in the team work. We need to try and do some works together.

Thanks for reading this blogpost! Byeeeeeeeeeeeee

Semester 2, Week 1, Class 1- Introduction

Time to switch our holiday into school mood! Yayyyyy! Time to learn, time to hear lectures! Such a fun time? Well... let's see!

1. Today, Mr. Rick is going easy on us. he didn't rush us that much, well... it's teh first day of class! Who would rush into the subject directly. Anyways, Mr. Rick told us that we are supposed to do LDLs on the next meeting. There will be 2 teachers for the next meeting! WOW! Mr. Rick told us a story of his life during the holidays and he said that it was so much fun.

2. Today, Mr. Rick lectured us the background of history. He told us that History is just like chasing a long long long thread from the present leading us to the past. It's like a mystery that is meant to be solved. We need to go deeper and be very curious about things. The textbook is just like a lamp that helps us to see the thread that leads us to the truth. The textbook is just simply a GUIDE. It's not the whole thing, the internet is the thread that will help us to discover the past and know everything with depth.

3. After he gave out his long lecture, he told us to make the classroom essentials required for this year. We made a lot of silly essentials that seem to be impossible. Like reading a book as a hobby and stuff like that. We had a lot of fun.

4. On what we can do better next time is to take more pictures during lessons so that we can have a better blogpost.

Thanks for reading and May God Bless you! Byeeeeeee
